April -December 2020
Niagara Food Tour "To Go" is an initiative started in reponse to Covid-19. This time has been hard on the culinary industry in Niagara and although many businesses are trying to rebuild, they still need eveyone's support.
Each Food Tour To Go is curated by award winning Niagara Culinary Tours and includes items from our food tour partners and a few friends that we love but are a little far for us to go to on our regular walking tours. We think you will really enjoy these items.
Local food brings a sense of community and with that social connection. Through this new project we are striving to bring our culinary community to you. Our bi-weekly offerings bring a little comfort food, a little fresh produce and we hope you will discover something new in your own backyard. We are so lucky to live in Niagara where we are surrounded by spectacular food and wine in abundance. Right now we need to show our local businesses a little love so this is our way to connect us all and lessen the distance that many of are feeling.
Bonus: With each purchase you will receive a 20% Niagara Culinary Tours discount code so you can join us on one of our future walking tours.

Celebrate Niagara Wine Festival from your porch or backyard!
One of the things we have always loved about living in Niagara is Grape and Wine Festival. We know that it has changed and evolved and has a fancy name now but September will always be Grape and Wine time to us! We are feeling a bit melancholy after realizing that the festivities will not be the same and we will really miss all the fun and socializing this time of the year brings. We put our heads together and came up with a few things to help you celebrate on your own porch or backyard.
The centrepiece of this week's Niagara Food Tour "To Go" will be a mini charcuterie box from Chefs Jason and Nicole Sawatsky of Yellow Pear. This will be a selection of Ontario meats and cheeses to showcase a little taste of what they can offer. They are now open for curbside pickup only and feature innovative dishes with local fresh ingredients. We are happy to see them back and we hope you will enjoy their food as much as we do!
We knew we needed a jelly so we have added a garlic jelly with hot red peppers from Walker's Country Market in Niagara on the Lake. This is a family owned and operated local business located just along the Niagara Parkway.
Of course you will need a bit of bread! You will receive a delicious artisan baguette from De La Terre Bakery in Jordan and Vineland.
We have been dying to include this and the time has finally come! Maple Bacon Popcorn from Chef Anthony Greco. Stay tuned for more info on his latest venture.
Rounding out this awesome collection from sushi chef, Chef Danny Rimando are one of our favourites, yam sushi rolls. Vegetarian friendly and not short on flavour.
Special note: We also encourage you to take a look at the offerings from Pondview Estate Winery and Burnt Ship Bay. Just let them know Niagara Culinary Tours will be picking up your order and we will deliver them with your Niagara Food Tour "To Go" on September 25th. You will be all set for the perfect wine weekend!
